What do you think of when you hear the word “abuse”?
You might be imagining bruises, blood, and broken bones: the kinds of wounds that can be treated in an emergency room. But physical violence is far from the only kind of violence: psychological, sexual, emotional, verbal and other nonphysical forms of abuse can leave the kinds of invisible wounds that hurt us the most and last the longest. And how do we heal what we can’t see?
My mission as your therapist is to empower and support you in identifying and healing those invisible wounds.
